– CRNA works 10 days (7 days on call, 2 days is weekend coverage, and 3 days OR only):
Two CRNA’s covering the busiest OR’s days, Monday through Wednesday from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm (first – last case schedule).
One CRNA covering Thursday through Friday which are much lighter OR days. The workday is typically over by noon on Friday.
-The hospital sees approximately 350 deliveries annually.
-The surgery department consists of 5 integrated units including:
Pre-Operative – Where patients are admitted to surgery and prepared for surgery.
Surgery – There are two operating suites where procedures are performed including: ENT, General, and OB/GYN.
Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) – Where patients are taken immediately after surgery to recover from their anesthesia.
Phase II Recovery area is utilized to recover patients after being in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
Endoscopy Room – Where Esophagogastroduodenoscopies (EGD) and Colonoscopies are performed
Central Sterilization Department – Where surgical instruments are washed, packaged, and sterilized, not only for surgery, but for the entire hospital and the physician offices
Incoming CRNA could have the opportunity to set-up a niche practice, such as pain management, IV therapy, etc. at the hospital (pending new service line approval)
