URMC is looking for an Associate Chief for its Obstetric Anesthesia Division.

-URMC is a 900 bed hospital with a 18 bed L&D that does about 3500 deliveries annually.
-URMC is a robust medical community with a diverse practice setting for anesthesiologists, offering opportunities to work at several Ambulatory Surgery Centers, the main hospital (academic model) & also a community hospital (in a private practice model).
-We have a robust L&D practice at the main hospital providing anesthesia services for 2 private practice groups, a midwifery group, the academic OB group & Maternal Fetal Medicine.
-There are no overnight first call shifts (unless desired).
-Part time options are available.

-Case assignments: Obstetrics, Ortho, Ambulatory, Neuro, Gen Surgery, Trauma, ENT, OBGYN within a care team model. Opportunities for Regional Anesthesia both in obstetrics and general ORs. Obstetric case mix includes B&B obstetrics, high risk obstetrics including cardiac disease.

Responsibilities:
*Provide patients safe & excellent care in a variety of settings
*Involved in the resident education clinically & didactically
*Responsible managing the OB1 & OB2 resident rotations
*Responsible for the Medical Student Obstetric Anesthesia Rotation
*Involvement in obstetric pre-planning for our high-risk obstetric patients
