RWJBarnabas Health, New Jersey’s largest integrated healthcare system, is seeking a Chief Nurse Anesthetist. The Chief CRNA, reporting to the Chairman of Anesthesia, is an integral role designed for supporting and facilitating cross-functional teams that are chartered to deliver operation of Anesthesia department.
The Chief CRNA is responsible for the management of nurse anesthesia services in collaboration with the OR Director and Anesthesia Providers. The incumbent is responsible for the development, interpretation, and enforcement of organizational policy procedures. The Chief will also provide support the CRNA staff members by providing education, monitoring daily activity and work quality, and assisting with case load to always ensure adequate coverage. The Chief will have input into the strategic decisions of the department that affect functional operations and will develop the CRNA operational budget. The Chief will be capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.

Currently underway at CMMC is construction on a new Adult Observation unit in its new Medical Office Building. On completion, the unit will contain new beds and two isolation rooms with direct access to the hospital’s Emergency Department. In addition, an expansion of the Emergency Department is also in progress to add new patient care beds, two new waiting areas and a discharge lounge.
In 2017, a state‐of‐the‐art campus expansion project was completed at CMMC that included construction of a new four‐story 87,000 square foot building featuring an Intensive Care Unit, two levels of medical office building space, a new main lobby, an admitting and registration department, a retail pharmacy with concierge service and a five‐level addition to the parking garage.
