-The University of Rochester seeks a fellowship-trained BC/BE regional anesthesiologist to join our Division of Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain Medicine.
-In addition to staffing regional anesthesiologists within our fast-paced ambulatory centers (which include a brand new, state-of-the-art ambulatory orthopaedic surgery center opening Jan 2023), our faculty cover the Acute Pain Service at Strong Memorial Hospital, providing care for patients with acute traumatic or post-surgical pain at this Level-1 center (including the main operating rooms, burn-trauma ICU, cardiac ICU).
-Great work/life balance
-Clinical duties will include supervising fellows participating in our ACGME-approved fellowship, supervising residents and CRNAs for a variety of operative cases in the main OR and ambulatory centers, and rotating on the Acute Pain Service (supervising residents and APPs).
-If interested, there may be an opportunity to spend time working in a private practice setting with one of the groups associated with our hospital system. -Myriad opportunities for involvement in comprehensive perioperative, opioid-sparing and enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) protocols exist.
