Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center will give residents of Lancaster and York counties additional access to Penn State Health’s expertise and specialty services without having to make the drive to Hershey. This brand new facility opened in the Summer of 2022.This acute care facility will play a major role in helping Penn State Health reach its long-term goal of making sure the people in the communities we serve are within:

Location Facts:
•6 ORs and 2 Hybrid rooms
•132 beds
•Supervision model
•Staffing model: 6 Anesthesiologists and 8-10 CRNAs
•No elective weekend cases
•Diverse case mix including ortho, healthy peds, light OB, urology, neurology, general, GI, TEE and EP lab.

Responsibilities
• Assist in the directing and coordinating of Activities in the Anesthesia Department
• Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious ad/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
• Pre-anesthesia assessment
• Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
• Induction, maintenance and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patient’s physiological condition
• Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Requirements
• M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
• ECFMG and FLEX
• Completion of approved Residency in Anesthesia
• Currently licensed as a Physician
