UPMC Hamot is a 423-bed hospital in Erie, PA, offering a full complement of inpatient and outpatient services, and serves as a regional referral hub and Level II Trauma Center. Case Assignments
Cases include but are not limited to Ortho, Neuro, General surgery, transplants and OBGYN with a care team model.
UPMC Hamot has a variety of sites to provide a diverse case mix. Such sites include a Women’s hospital, two surgery centers, Community Hospital and a level two trauma center within the area.

Responsibilities
• Pre-anesthesia assessment
• Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
• Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patient’s physiological condition
• Performance of clinical intervention as needed
Requirements
• Current license as a registered professional nurse
• Graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education
• Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
