Call (include full description of coverage required): Must be willing to cover call. CRNAs- 1:14 1st & 2nd Call (both beeper); Post Call OFF after 1st call; on call with MD who is in-house. Late night rotation as well in reverse order of call rotation
License: Wisconsin License or Compact
Procedures Required: Must be able to do OB. Both Physicians and CRNA can and will push meds, induction is collaborative process. Physicians perform the majority of the other regional blocks (femoral, interscalene, etc.). CRNAs place and manage epidurals & spinals.
Types of Cases: General to cardiac including GYN, eyes, craniotomies, ENT. Have a broad diversity in practice and general surgery very busy. Also do robotic surgery for general surgery, gynecology, and ortho. No hearts. Level 3 NICU but irrelevant to the practice
Approximately 100 bypass cases/year and 99% on bypass, not off pump. Utilize TEE. Lots of regional anesthesia.
Number of Beds (Hospital/ED): 292 Licensed Beds
Number of ORs: 10 – 11 ORs plus OB running daily; 3 – 4 rooms run late daily until about 7 pm
Department Structure/Schedule: 7 MDs & 11 CRNAs
If a Care Team Model: is it Medical Direction or Medical Supervision: Most cases medically directed. Opportunity for qualified CRNAs to work in CV and OB.
