Midwest OB Lovers – No Hearts

Must be able to do OB and solo cases
Must be willing to cover call (weekday nights and weekend day/nights)
Staffing Model: 7 MDs, 11 CRNAs
292 licensed beds
10-11 OR’s plus OB running daily; 3 to 4 rooms run late daily until about 7pm
10,000 annual cases
1600 Deliveries a Year; 70% Epidurals, 25% C-Section (includes VBACS)
Cases include wide variety of cases from general to cardiac including GYN, eyes, craniotomies, ENT. Have a broad diversity in practice and general surgery. Also do robotic surgery for general surgery, gynecology, and ortho. NO HEARTS
Lots of regional anesthesia

MD In house call 1:9, 2 rooms 10 hours, 4 rooms 8 hours
Physicians have about four 1st calls/month (in house) and 3-4 back up calls/month.
Both Physicians and CRNA can push meds, induction is collaborative process. Physicians perform the majority of the other regional blocks (femoral, interscalene, etc.)
