The Department of Anesthesiology at City of Hope National Medical Center is seeking a physician to meet the needs of our growing program on the Duarte campus.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Department currently includes Physicians and CRNAs
• Effort allocation: 95% Clinical
• About 50% / 50% supervision vs independent
• Cover only one location at Duarte campus
• Inpatient hospital/outpatient surgery center: 19 sites (ORs, procedure rooms and NORA)
• No in house call
Position Highlights:
• No OB, no cardiac, no trauma. Minimal peds cases
TOTAL COMPENSATION:
• $440K – $510K per year
• Anesthesiologists working in Duarte are eligible for call pay (Additional weekend coverage pay: $20k for 5 weekends per year)
• Additional hourly pay for time exceeding assigned shift: current average $7500 per/month
BENEFITS:
• 4 weeks PTO + 10 days CME + 7 holidays + 18 sick days + 3 personal days per year.
• 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan: 20% of base salary not to exceed the plan (compensation limit of $305,000) and/or IRS annual compensation limit.
• Annual academic improvement fund up to $5K
• Physicians working for City of Hope Medical Group are now eligible to apply for the Public Student Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program
Qualifications:
• Academic record consistent with appointment as Assistant Clinical Professor, Associate Clinical Professor, or Clinical Professor level at City of Hope National Medical Center
• The selected candidate for the position must be eligible to obtain or already hold an active California medical license
• American Board of Anesthesiology board eligibility/certification
