Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Medicine

Brigham and Women’s Hospital, a founding member of Mass General Brigham in Boston, Massachusetts is recruiting new faculty members at the rank of Instructor, Assistant or Associate Professor within the Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Medicine (DAPPM). New faculty will join a collaborative team of clinicians (MDs and CRNAs), providing a wide range of clinical anesthesia services including:

• Preoperative medical/surgical evaluations
• Regional and general anesthetics
• Labor epidurals
• Critical care patient management
• Postoperative pain management
• Chronic pain management
• Emergency services

We provide these services in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including more than 50 operating rooms, twelve out-of-OR locations, including the Brigham and Women’s/Mass General Health Care Center in Foxborough, labor and delivery, surgical intensive care units, cardiac surgical intensive care unit, Weiner Center for Preoperative Evaluation, Center for Pain Medicine and Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital.

Successful candidates will be outstanding clinicians and exemplary teachers. It is expected that applicants have an MD, DO or MD/PHD degree and be Board Eligible or Board Certified. The candidate must provide evidence of continuing medical education and meet the metrics for an academic appointment at Harvard Medical School (HMS). Excellent interpersonal skills, a commitment to providing safe and compassionate patient care, and an ability to work successfully in a multi-disciplinary team are other essential qualities.
