A facility in Albany, NY is looking for a physician anesthesiologist to join their team on a permanent assignment.

Job Description:

-Required to be ECHO Board Certified and/or have completed a Cardiac Fellowship
-Must be willing to cover cases out facility in Albany and Troy.
T-he facility has brought on 3 new Cardiac Surgeons and needs Cardiac Anesthesiologists to support them.
-Practice setting: high volume inpatient heart center
-Number of Operating Rooms: 30
-Schedule: variable- 8,10,12 hour shifts
-On call: The call rotation is 1:5 with first call every eighth night, no second call.
-Cases are primarily cardiac and vascular, there is no OB or trauma.
-Provide anesthesia care for patients undergoing cardiac surgical procedures, including CABG, valve replacements, and other complex cardiac surgeries.
-Average Number of Surgical Cases Per Day: –Cardiac Cases per day- 6-8 cases
-Will NOT be required to supervise CRNAs
-Patient demographic: primarily adult and geriatric- some child
-The physicians provide general and regional anesthesia for a variety of endoscopic, cardiac, orthopedic, pediatric, obstetric, cosmetic, and general surgical procedures.
-Collaborate closely with our team of cardiac surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare –professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
-Participate in pre-operative evaluations and post-operative care of cardiac patients.

-Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of anesthesia protocols and practices within the institute.
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

-Board Eligible (within 5 years of eligibility) or Board Certified in Anesthesia – REQUIRED
-ECHO Board Certified and/or Cardiac Anesthesiology Fellowship-Trained (to be complete prior to start) – REQUIRED
-Cardiac Anesthesiology Fellowship-Trained – HIGHLY PREFERRED
-NY License (or willing to obtain) – REQUIRED
-BLS, ACLS, PALS (by time of start) – REQUIRED
